Most companies offer free quotes, and some will even bundle in the initial inspection cost as part of a monthly, quarterly or yearly service plan. Keep in mind that, sometimes, pest salespeople are no more than that: salespeople. Basic pest control packages typically include physical and chemical means to monitor, detect and remove pests. Most plans include coverage for the most common types of pests in Boston, like wolf spiders, cicadas, western conifer seed bugs and house crickets. Pricing depends on the frequency of service, the size of your home and yard, and what type of package you choose. Our quotes were based on a roughly 1,100-square-foot home on a 2,200-square-foot lot in Roslindale.
But they don’t cover everything. For example, termites are extremely common in Boston, but that coverage usually isn’t included in a monthly or quarterly service contract. If you need pest control for something not included in the typical service list, you’ll have to pay an additional fee.
